  • : delighted. extremely happy and excited about something.

  • : meet with. to have someone come to be with you, often for a discussion.

Davos

  • : summit. a place in Switzerland where global leaders meet to talk about the world.

vanguard

  • : particularly. used to point out something important or specific.

  • Confidence will enable you to try new things and grow into the person you want to be.

host

  • : hold. to organize an event and provide the space or resources for it.
  • I would love to host a big dinner party, but I am much better at eating than I am at cooking.

reach

  • arrive. to be seen or heard by a large number of people.
  • A kind heart and a warm smile can reach people even when you do not speak the same language.

  • much more. a significantly larger amount or degree.
  • There are far more stars in the sky than there are grains of sand on a beach, which makes our problems feel very small.

  • in person. being in a place with your actual body rather than online.

cross-section

  • variety. a small group that represents all the different parts of a larger group.
  • The music festival had a great cross-section of performers, ranging from professional opera singers to a man playing a saw.

sort of

  • somewhat. used to describe something that is not exact or to say that something is true to a certain degree.
  • I sort of intended to be productive today, but I accidentally spent four hours watching videos of cats playing pianos.

fascinating

  • interesting. extremely interesting or attractive.
  • The way my dog looks at a slice of pizza is absolutely fascinating; it is pure focus.

meet a moment

  • handle. to deal with a specific situation or challenge successfully.
  • Great leaders are not those who never fail, but those who can meet a moment of crisis with courage.

experiment

  • test. to try new things to learn or discover something.
  • It is always fun to experiment with new hobbies, even if you find out you are terrible at them.

lean in on

  • focus. to put more effort or energy into a specific activity or idea.
  • If you want to grow, you must lean in on the difficult tasks instead of avoiding them.

vulnerability

  • openness. the willingness to show your true feelings or weaknesses.
  • Admitting that you do not know everything shows vulnerability, and it helps people trust you.
